Foundation Learning
This programme is aimed at 14 – 19 year olds. It is a programme which has been designed to help young people develop their personal, vocational and functional skills in the form of pathways.
Each Learner will have an individual learning programme prepared for them to help them address concerns and weaknesses which may prevent them from entering employment, F.E. or Work Based Learning.
The Foundation Learning programme prepares young people for the world of work or further training by building on their strengths and overcoming barriers that may exist which are preventing them from moving on.
Sessions are informal and friendly and split into three key areas:
Functional Skills
As part of the Foundation Learning program you will achieve a qualification in Mathematics, English and I.C.T. all at a level that is appropriate to your specific needs.
P.S.D.
We will also help you with improving confidence and working as part of a team among other things. This will also lead to an accreditted qualification again at an appropriate level.
Vocational Training
You can also work toward a qualification in Working with Children and Young People, Health & Social Care or employability. All of this training is to help you become employed or move on into further education.
