Foundation Training
Course Description
Primarily aimed at young people aged 16-18 who are not participating in any form of post-16 learning. It is designed to help them to develop their motivation and confidence, personal effectiveness and basic and key skills, and to give them a range of opportunities to gain vocational knowledge, skills and understanding. The aim is that they will progress into a Modern Apprenticeship, further learning and/or a job.

What Will I Learn?
The basic requirements required to move into the vocational area of the learners choice. Basic skills support up to and including level 1. Support through a variety of training methods with confidence building, motivation & preparation for working life

How Will I Be Assessed?
Mixture of both on & off the job training. The Technical Certificate and Key Skills involve learners undertaking exam based modules
