Ellen Kerr House - Respite & Alternative Day Support

for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Ellen Kerr House can be found at 2 Balmain Avenue, Gorton. It is a base and purpose built facility for day services and has recently been refurbished to accomodate a three bedroom respite facility. In the day service we offer a range of sessional activities according to choice and need to people with complex requirements who prefer a smaller and more supportive environment in which to develop their skills and confidence.

The building is fully adapted with facilities for people with physical disabilities, including baths, showers, toilets, track hoists ramps and a lift, which means that people in this category need not be excluded. A bathing service can be provided in  addition to day services if required.

We offer a full range of services on site including an activity room with computer, sensory room, quiet room, and gardening along with shopping, cooking and a host of off site activities taking in local leisure facilities and places of interest.

Following recent developments Ellen Kerr House is now also providing short term respite services
