Company history

North West Community Services was formed in 1986, opening two training schemes for young people in Walton and Broadgreen. Over the years these schemes have changed in composition and they joined together to form a more structured training service in the mid 90's. We are now a lead provider on Merseyside for work based learning.

Our first support services opened in October 1986 in Stoneycroft, Liverpool resettling three people with learning and physical disabilities from long term institutional care. This proved to be an extremely successful transition and over the past twenty five years NWCS has grown and we continue to expand our support schemes which we now operate in Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral, Manchester, Tameside, Didsbury, Bury, Burnley, Chorley, Lancaster, Fleetwood and Barrow. During this time we have expanded both the scope of services and the range of disabilities we cater for.

NWCS is an equal opportunities employer with the
investors in people award and have also hold the prestigious ISO9001 award for quality systems. We are an accredited provider with CQC. We provide supported living and employment, community support, respite and short term breaks to over 400 people and our Liverpool work based training services providing accredited training with to over 650 students.

We currently provide the following Support Services:
