Our Mission Statement is:-
"Our aim is to deliver quality first class training to enhance a range of skills for your professional development leading to recognised qualifications and improved employment prospects"
NWCS staff are vocationally trained and hold all necessary qualifications to enable them to offer a first class provision. Staff are able to communicate with all cohorts of learners and believe that learners can only achieve their full potential if they are given appropriate information, advice, guidance and support.
We work very closely with local schools in the delivery of IFP ( Increased Flexibility Programme ) and APTT we have held a successful contract with Connexions to deliver AAP (Activity Agreements Pilot) to help reduce the NEET cohort .
In this contract year 06/07 NWCS has successfully expanded our working relationships with Schools referral units. This involves working with young people permanently excluded from education and parts of school curriculum. We have recently gained a contract with CME to help engage young people who have been out of formal education for a long time.
NWCS deliver a very successful E2E provision which places a strong emphasis on the delivery of skills for life throughout the three core strands, using innovative teaching strategies to meet the needs identified on each individual learning plan. We believe that our innovative approaches to deliver SFL will be beneficial to an Adult cohort through Train to Gain or Adult Apprenticeships.
NWCS has now completed the pilot of FLT (Foundation Learning Tier) as a live site and are looking forward to having the opportunity to be involved in the second phase.
We have an excellent rapport with current employers and always look to increase employer’s participation further by engaging Adult Learners through delivering provision in Train to Gain throughout Greater Merseyside and the North West Region,
NWCS currently offer delivery in Apprenticeships in Children’s Care Learning & Development up to Level 4.
Due to the expansion of E2E within the Widnes and South Liverpool areas we have opened a new training facility in Belle Vale. Learners are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the programme but in some cases more emphasis has to be focused on areas that have been identified as needed in improvement such as anger management, time keeping, basic skills and attitude and motivation. Every child matters also plays a big part within the delivery of all our programme within the E2E programme, young people have sex education, drugs and alcohol awareness, they follow a programme of healthy eating which is delivered over a period of 4 weeks within our self contained flat. They also take part in exercise routines which may involve going to the gym or participating in sports activity which is delivered at our local Sports centre.
